Hi Corine,
Thanks so much for giving me some incisive feedback. Am delighted to know you are a fellow comrade on this topic.
I will check your blog now and we hopefully keep an eye on the issues you are dealing with.
Perhaps we can do guest post in the future.
More grease to your arms!

I stumbled across your post on accident and I find it encouraging that others are saying some of the same things I've been sharing for years. There are MANY costs associated with the problems of bullying and cyber bullying, so when I hear "we can't afford to do more," I get very frustrated. The costs are enormously high -- from financial, to achievement, to personal safety and liability. If we cannot keep our kids safe and secure while they are at school, does it matter what else we are trying to do with them while they are there?

You also left out one other important "cost" -- that of legislation. As of today, 46 states have some sort of "anti-bullying" law on the books. What do you suppose that cost taxpayers? And, worse yet, do we really believe that laws are going to be effective in stopping this epidemic?

You may find my blogs on bullying and related topics of interest. You can find them at http://corinnegregory.com/?s=bullying&x=4&y=8 We have to understand how "expensive" this problem is so that solving it becomes a priority for our schools, administrators, and lawmakers.
